THE REVEREND ALLEN EVANS, JR.
Reverend Allen Evans, Jr. is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Shawnee High School and attended the University of Louisville and Simmons Bible College in Louisville, Kentucky. Reverend Evans acknowledged his call to preach at the early age of 21, and has served as Pastor of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church for 31 years. Currently, Reverend Evans holds the distinction of being the Senior Pastor of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, and he is blessed to have the assistance of six associate ministers who serve under his leadership.
During his tenure as pastor of St. James Baptist Church, Reverend Evans has developed numerous programs for adults, young adults, and children. He especially enjoys working with children who have troubled backgrounds. He is uniquely equipped by God to develop people for leadership and ministry to build up Godís Kingdom.
Reverend Evans is married to the former Delphine Gordon and has two adult children, daughter, Antonya Evans-Marshall, (husband, LeRoy) and son, Allen III (Tresí) (wife Sharonda). He also has 3 grandsons, Zion, Zane Marshall and Allen IV (L.A.).
